Meet our Team

  • Dr. Vera Nikolic

    General Practitioner M.D. FRACGP

    Dr. Nikolic is the principal doctor of Pakenham Family Health. She has over 35 years of medical experience both in hospital environments and all areas of general practice. Dr Nikolic has been working in Gippsland and Cardinia regions for close to 20 years and is a very popular doctor with young families and the elderly. Her personal interests are gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

  • Dr. Pravin Kapadia

    General Practitioner M.B.B.S.

    Dr. Kapadia is a Pakenham institution, having practiced medicine in the area for over 40 years. Much-loved by his dedicated long-term patient base, Dr Kapadia has extensive experience in all aspects of general practice. His clinical knowledge and pleasant personality make him a favourite with the young and the old and a tremendous asset to our team. Dr Kapadia also speaks Hindi and Gujarati languages.

  • Dr. Cheryl Marshall

    General Practitioner M.B.B.S.

    Dr Marshall also brings with her over 30 years of experience in a variety of hospital-based and general practice roles. She has a special interest in mental health counseling but also specialises in women's health which occupies most of her time at Pakenham Family Health.

  • Dr. Paul Shire

    General Practitioner M.D. FRACGP

    Dr Shire undertook his GP training in the UK. His main area of interest is in the management of diabetes and he is a member of the RACGP Special Interest group in this field. He enjoys all areas of general practice but his areas of special interest are men's health and children's health. Dr Shire enjoys spending time with his young family and outdoor activities.

  • Dr. David Steele

    General Practitioner MBBCh, BaODRCOG

    Dr Steele is a very experienced and popular doctor with interest in all areas of general practice. Originally from Ireland, he has been working in the Dandenong / Narre Warren / Pakenham area for over 20 years. Dr Steele enjoys all areas of general practice and is a very dedicated GP trully loved by his huge patient base. In his spare time Dr Steele enjoys spending time outdoors playing golf and attending music festivals.

  • Dr Neil McCann

    General Practitioner M.B.B.S.

    Dr McCann has been working in the Cardinia/Casey region for over 20 years and has a strong reputation for his expertise and thorough approach to all aspects of general practice. Dr McCann is also qualified to provide antenatal shared care in conjunction with the Antenatal Hospital Services for approved low risk pregnancies. A true blue Bulldogs supporter, Dr McCann enjoys fishing and playing golf.

  • Dr Sri Visnu

    General Practitioner M.B.B.S., FRACGP

    Dr Visnu is a highly experienced doctor whose special interests are in geriatrics and children's health. Dr Visnu is also interested in skin cancers, and is currently completing further training in this field. Soft-spoken and well-mannered, Dr Visnu also works on Sundays providing an important service to the Pakenham community. When he is not working, he enjoys gardening, cricket and body building.

  • Dr Shagufta Badar

    General Practitioner M.B.B.S., FRACGP

    Dr Badar has joined us following an extended practice around Victoria and NSW over the past 10 years. Being a soft-spoken, smiling and understanding female GP Shagufta has already become a favourite with our female patients and families alike. Shagufta also speaks Urdu and Hindi languages.

  • Dr Rahila Wardak

    General Practitioner M.B.B.S., FRACGP

    Dr Wardak is the first new doctor to join our team at our new premises. She has recently moved to Pakenham with her young family from Swan Hill where she was a very popular doctor both in General Practice and the local hospital. Friendly and mild mannered, Rahila likes all aspects of General Practice.

  • Dr Lin Htut Naing

    General Practitioner M.B.B.S., FRACGP, DipChildHealth

    Dr Lin is a young and enthusiastic doctor with experience in all aspects of General Practice. He has special interest and expertise in children's health and skin cancer, having completed the Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, Certificate of Dermoscopy and Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery with Skin Cancer College Australasia. Lin has spent significant time living and working in rural Australia and overseas and we are delighted to welcome him to our expanded clinical team.

Our team of doctors, nurses and support services shares a common goal, which is to provide preventative and long-term health management for all of our patients. Our medical centre has been purpose built to provide high quality, comprehensive and efficient service for a large and varied patient base.

With over four decades of experience, our medical team cover all general practice services. We have a special interest in mental health counselling, family planning, antenatal care, menopause, sexual health, women’s health, and children’s health.

Our services also cover pre-employment and work health checks, TAC, sports injuries, travel vaccinations, and minor surgery, as well as adult’s and children’s immunisations.

Our practice offers bulk billing to both new and existing patients holding a valid Medicare card with no out-of-pocket cost for standard consultations from Monday to Friday.

  • $ * .00 Long Appointment
* Patients not holding a valid Medicare card are billed $55.00 for a standard consultation and $90.00 for a long consultation.
* On Saturdays there is a $10.00 out of pocket fee payable on the day for adults who do not hold a pension or a health care card.

About Pakenham Family Health Centre

Established in 2010 and independently owned and managed, our medical centre is a modern, fully computerised GP clinic. Our GPs are supported by four practice nurses and an experienced and efficient administration team.

The medical centre offers on-site pathology service and is within easy walking distance from radiology, allied health and specialist groups.

Our Facilities

The facilities at the clinic are purpose-built and were designed to meet the latest medical standards prescribed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In addition to the comfortable and fully equiped consulting rooms, the doctors have access to a designated treatment room designed for procedures and immunisations.
